Default Borers would have had a party in this very old piece of ZebraWood years ago

    Hi all,

Borers must have loved this old ZebraWood. This is the last of this timber I got from Mal. More use of the Brusso JB 101 hinges which I am not really fussed about. I only bought them as they were half price at the time. Then I had to take out a bank loan to pay for the postage from the USA on top of the hinges. 3 pairs gone, 12 pairs to go.

Nice rustic look. Perhaps you should try making a box from this old wharf timber. The holes are about 10mm dia and looks quite unique when the timber is ripped to expose the holes and then made into a table top or similar.

Hey Dallas, wow, that is some huge old timber, I think I might have to give that one a miss.

I personally like the real rustic look. Old recycled timber has better colour & unique features than artificially distressed new wood.
