Streuth!
It is a cracker!
You have certainly done yourself proud here.
What is the wood? Is it an oil finish?
How long did it take?
Lets have the low down....

Thanks guys. took about 2 weeks, mostly because i didn’t know what i was doing... had to build jigs etc.
basically its a mitered Jarrah cube with vic ash dovetail keys/splines. 2 coates of Danish oil applied with 400 and 600 grit paper... let dry for a week and then cabinet makers wax. self adhesive felt and frustration for the inside.
box was finished early june for wifes b'day... have since made a few more which i will get around to posting.

That is a great box! I thought at first that it had mitre corners that were reinforced with dovetailed splines, but then I looked at the drawer opening and realised that the apparent dovetail spline was a dummy. Whoweeee, you really have excelled in your attention to detail and execution of some pretty complicated joinery. Look forward to seeing future productions.

Amazing bit of work. Even more amazing that it's your first! I love the way the drawers incorporate the dovetail splines and your finish appears top notch. Can't wait to see what you come up with next.
When all is said and done, there is usually a whole lot more said than done.
