Thread: Made another box.

This is # 4 box.
Experimenting with lids - looking for a point of difference.
This is a ceramic lid with a gum blossom knob.
My wife has her ceramics studio next to me shed and it's our first collaboration apart from those kids of ours.
If you look closely you can see the failure - the lid has a dip along all edges, so I had to make a corresponding scallop along the top edges of the sides. At least the dip was fairly uniform.
But she knows why it happened and there are three more lids coming out of the kiln tomorrow that will hopefully be flat and each a bit different.
She already has four people booked into classes to make the lids and then boxes - I can only accommodate four people at a time in my shed.
We need to get the process right before the first class in two weeks.
