Default Box #3 - Reclaimed Karri & Pallet Pine

Its been a while since i last posted as i haven't done much other than work on my boat (yes i need to start a thread on that one)

Well, i managed to convince the minister of finance and recreation to let me get a table saw and my wife & parents bought dad & myself a thicknesser as a joint birthday present.

anyways... here is Box number 3 (for my mates 2nd daughters 15th Birthday in a few weeks)

This one is made from reclaimed Karri and left over pallet pine from the other boxes.

add to the box i hand carved a pendant from a chunk of apple tree

Good to see you back again and still making those boxes for friends. Good contrast between the Karri and Pine.
Bet you're glad you have the tablesaw and thicknesser as they do make life easier. They would certainly will be handy with your boat build where most pieces will be a lot bigger than your boxes.

As I hate doing small hinges on small boxes I like the idea of the lid locating pins.
