    Default my first box!

Hi all this is my first box its not great but i tryed haha. Main timber is brazilian mahogany, top is quilted maple with ebony inlay, inside of lid is fiddleback myrtle and the tray is ebony. All the dovetails are hand cut which you can probably tell anyway and i dont have a photo yet but the base is cedar of lebanon. Took ages to cut all the dovetails but i like cutting them by hand and they look much better. Cant wait to try a better one. positive and negative comments appreciated! hahaha

If that's a first box, and the dovetails are hand cut, you have done a very good job. Congratulations

Gorgeous! Nice selection of premium hardwoods. Handcut dovetails and quandrant hinges, no less. With a first effort like that, I can't wait to see the next one.
When all is said and done, there is usually a whole lot more said than done.

I doubt very much that you'll get any negative comments on this box!
    Great effort.

Like all the others said , this box looks like the work of an expert. Personally, I would have preferred to have the pins/tails reversed . I think the front perspective would have been better

This bit should be completely ignored, although I know that despite this warning, you will read it through to the very end.
