Here's hoping this is the 3.
No worries Alex.
All is good Ruddy.
Sorry guys, but I may not get my box finished either. we are getting some renovations done and the builder has just rung to advise his new and improved starting date will be much sooner than expected and now I have to quickly source some items for the reno, clear out those rooms and all the other stuff involved in a reno.

Yes, handtools are good for night work, but sawdust gets into everything and i think hwmnbo would not be impressed if i iced his cake with sawdust instead of chocolate shavings.
Thanks John T. I'll get back to you tomorrow night. Someone is having fun hogging the pc i've been using to keep track of the entries. Hmm, where's that new brand of choc bits......Box Challenge 2011 - Check out the amazing Boxes!

Working hard but won't make the date
But the good news is that I have two boxes in progress which is great!
The competition did what I hoped - got me moving and thinking about my craft...
Thanks for the competition...Shane Magrath

Its going to be close, really close for me. Thankfully you can't see a still wet finish in a photo! At least i hope i'll get a coat of finish on by Sunday night! Sorry Wendy but my entry is going to be coming in real close to the mark - i hope!
2 days to go & i'm still assembling my box & to top it off Tassie has dished out another balmy 5c in my shed this morning. Fire is lit & warming my shed up to hopefully round 13c. Time for another coffee before i get back to it!

it is pouring rain off and on here today, foggy, cold.
An option: if people are willing, I'm happy for unfinished boxes to be entered, which includes mine too, of course. If you choose not to enter your unfinished box, you HAVE to post some pictures of them in the Box Forum when finished.Box Challenge 2011 - Check out the amazing Boxes!

Great idea Wendy as long as unfinished boxes aren't allowed to be voted.

Have i said how much i hate hinges? Well i hate em i really really hate em!
I'm going to bring my box in from the shed tonight & try to get a couple of coats of finish on it. That will just leave the flocking for the inside..... i hope.

I see no problem at all in entering unfinished boxes, clearly they will receive fewer votes simply on the basis that they are unfinished & therefore are not presented at their best.
