As black as black can be! I once turned a pen from it and was tempted to ditch it - so black and shiny it looked too much like plastic These days I tend to choose sections with a swirl or two of unchanged timber to show that it is actually wood

Nice work, that. It's always hard to get curves like that smooth and even - the least little error shows up.
