First box with marquetry work
New member, new box.
Wood Jewelry Box with Group of Seven Style Marquetry. Size: 8"x6"x3"
Material: Red Oak, Bass Wood, Cedar, Hard Maple, wood veneers. The marquetry is a copy of Diane Edwards' "Agonquin Pine".

the size is 8"x6"x3". BTW, it is my first jewelry box, not my first box.

If I see your marquetry I know that I have still to learn a lot about this technique. My first trials with a simple sailing boat are cruel and disappointing. It would be helpful for us beginners in marquetry to see some more explanations or "work in progress" pictures.
Your marquetry lookes really perfect How did you cut the curved lines e.g. in the tree? I had always trouble to make the opposite peace so perfect that no gap is to be seen. Can you tell us a little bit more about the "making of" ?
