First Box! Fantastic! What are you a brain surgeon during the day?

Well done, I look forward to viewing future work.

Really nice and I love the clarity in the flower. You will get asked the normal questions on wood and finish so you may as well post them now

Thanks for all the comments from all of you. I hope I can get close to the level of quality of the boxes you have all posted on the site.

The box is made out of Birch plywood. The inside is covered with Walnut veneer and all the trim is made out of Walnut. The outside is covered in Olive Ash Burl veneer. The stem is Walnut Burl veneer and I am not sure what the flower pedals are but I think it might be Maple Pommele veneer.

Its finished with 6 or 7 coats of brush on laquer and sanded to a shine with 2000 grit paper.
