Box from Tipuana Tipu timber

Here is a little box that I've just finished making. The timber is Tipuana Tipu and has a lemon yellow and taupe colouring. It came from two trees that were planted/growing in the internal court yard of the Raffles apartment complex in Applecross, Perth.

We were staying at a resort in the hills of Tuscany Italy in 2015. They had this chocolate manufactures display which included this rustic pine "packing case" type box. I said to myself "I like that and will do something like it". Seven years later I have.
