Boxmakers - Help requested
Hi all,
It's been quite a while since I have posted. The cedar workshop is finally finished . Recently I gave my grandson (10 months) a handcarved wooden box, made by my father in the 30s. It is about 9" square and about 4" high, to this I added a good part of my coin accumulation. Hopefull young Max will have fun sifting through it as he gets older.
I have another grandchild due later this year and I decided to build a decorative wooden box myself using some varieties of Australian timber. I actually purchased 4 pieces of Bookmatched timber - 369mm * 80mm * 13mm of fiddleback Spotted Gum as a starter.
Sadly just last week I received some shocking news on the health front which means that it is very unlikely that I will be able to complete/start this project.
Can any of you boxmakers assist? Would someone be able to make a box, using the wood above, or otherwise, its not important or would someone have a box of a similar size that could be for sale.
Ideally whether the wood can be used or not I would like to send it to whoever is able to help either as part payment or to be used.
I would of course pay cost of the box, all postage etc involved.
If you can help please pm me.
Over to you, kind regards

Hey Gaz, get back to that games box and planning for the Crow's revival in '07.
Are those sides sanded to 2000 grit yet or are you using a Terry Gordon smoothing plane?
