Lovely box Billy. I've used the Loggerheads timber in a few projects. It's beautiful, especially the whitewood.
If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

I am glad that the picture got there in the end - it's a beautiful box, alright.
BTW where did you get the music box mechanism and were there any tricks in fitting it?
And did you make the twirling ballerina?
Cheers

Thanks for the feedback. Music mech from http://www.jknowles.com.au/about_us.html
They are reasonable priced. This one is clear with wood backing so easy to glue in. I put it in before the base for ease of access.
Couple more pictures. Sorry none bigger I have already reduced them. base is pigskin.

Very nice, I love that. Great mix of timbers. Did you scroll the M or did you buy an appliqué?

Welcome to the best box making forum around. Sorry I am so late but I am pretty slack at the typing thing although I read the posts every morning. I love the box. The top is very pretty.
