Brass knobs
I am looking to buy some 12-15mm round brass knobs for a box project I am doing, need at least 10.
Most of the places I have looked at only go down to 19mm.
Either in Melbourne or on the net.

Brass Knobs
Big Shed, have a look on the Lee Valley website. I have used these on my boxes to good effect. My son will be coming home in 4 weeks from Canada and he will be bringing some for me. If you like let me know and I will increase order an post them to you.

Yep, they would do the job, have sent them an email to see what sort of postage for 10, thanks
They would do for feet, but I would prefer something at the back, thanks.
Found some 15mm ones on their site, item A here.

I am going to Melbourne tomorrow and will be visiting 2 restoration places that may have some, failing that I would love to take you up on your very kind offer.

Fred! Have you tried Restorers Barn in Castlemaine?
I know they, or they used to, stock small brass items like latches, hinges, screws etc. behind their main counter.Russell (aka Mulgabill)

Thanks all for your input, got the knobs organised today.
Went to Recollections in Bridge Rd Richmond and they had some very nice 12mm knobs, exactly what I was looking for. They will be posted from their HO in Adelaide as they no longer keep stock there.
Also ordered some 15mm knobs whilst I was about it, the 12mm ones were $1.65 each, the 15mm ones were $1.75 each.
Oh, still no reply from Veneer Inlay to my email enquiry, another "switched on Oz company"
Only just got home and never made it to Castlemaine.

Good one Fred! It is good to see at least one Aussie company offers customer service

What a shame I didn't know about this sooner. Here at 53N, they were just falling off the monkeys in the January cold & snow.

Well, it took 2 days but I did finally receive an answer to my enquiry from Veneer Inlay:
Our minimum order value is $ 30.00 PLUS postage of $9.80 per order

In Michael's defence, I routinely place orders with him at Veneer Inlay and always receive confirmation of the order the same day. Delivery is at most two days, but often overnight. I can only think he was either away on holiday, or worse, ill.
I would have no hesitation buying from him at all.
Regards,
Rob
