    Default A carving tool box

May be tool boxes and such things need their own sub forum but then tools are as precious as jewels to some.
    This is my latest box

Drool, drool, drool, drool. What a brilliant concept and workmanship. Congratulations.

Beautiful. That is a very inspiring project. I do like the wooden hinges.

    Thanks for the compliments blokes.
They are my tools but I still have a lot to learn about using all those chisels. The fret work stuff I have been into since I was 13.

Great work on the tool box.

Most people these days use a backpack for going to work, not a brief case. Can you make the next one to look like a back pack?

Congratulations, that is a beautiful work of art. What timbers did you use? did you make the wooden hinges?

Tassy Oak for the box, Jarra for the hard wear, ply for the tray floors and some Ceader for the sides of the lower tray. The hinges were made using the Gifkin 5mm box jointer template.
