Congratulations on your weeks work and a partly successful sale. Goes to show that it can only be a pasttime and not a commercial venture.

Very nice boxes, Wendy. Have you considered a cat? If you don't like cats, Jack Russell Terriers can be very effective mousers (and very lovable dogs).

Totally agree, not a discerning lot at all! I think they were not expecting such a box, plus its size and price - $85. This time round should have been lots of little boxes/trays etc.

No definitely not something I could do for a living.

I'd love to have a cat, but unfortunately, it would become a flying football for HWMNBO

Work has been so busy this week. This morning I went into my shed for 5 minutes of woodtalk with the unfinished symphony box. Came out feelling great and ready for the day

haven't forgotten the hinges info for you Donna.
Must also dig up the magazine details for you all, where they showed the original puzzle box plan too.

    cheers
    Wendy

If you want a cat, get a cat - just read the riot act beforehand

Meant to chime in earlier. Terrific work as always, Wendy. Seaman's chest a bit of pearls before swine, I suppose.
    Cheers,

Well you know, better late than never, well done. Very nice.

Having done one now, I really can see the work that is put into something so small.

    Anyway Top effort

Thanks Robert and Mr HB, also to Biting Midge!

As this weekend is a long weekend, I'm looking forward to finishing the pine box. I now want to make another seaman's chest, this time with the rounded lid, extending the fun and learning I had when I built that tiny one for my nephew.

    cheers
