Very nice little collection, I like the chest the best, hardware looks good on it too (where did you get those hinges?).
ONLY ONE MOUSE!!??? I caught 40 in my kitchen the other night in a water trap. (bit of a plague here at the minute)

Wendy priorities always seem to get in the way of having fun don't they.
Like them all the Camphor one looks very arty
so what you only got half way that just leaves half way to go come on back in the shed lets see you finish the rest.
Next project a new kitchen in just 6 weeks

40!!!! Yep, that's definitely a bit of a plague. We are very close to the Stockyards here, which is where a lot probably do come from. What the water trap you use Donna?
Thanks Mick! yes - it's been a bit of a trip and half, but what a journey
Hiya Groggy! Yes, the Seaman's Trunk is great. I've been wanting to make one of these for ages. My copy of Lon Schleining's Treasure Chests got a major workout this past week. Now to figure out a price for it.
Donna, the hinges on the seaman's trunk came from Colonial Timber and Furniture. You can also get them from Toowoomba Recycled Timber and Furniture. I'll try to hunt up a link or two for you.
cheers

Absolute excellent effort Wendy to achieve what you have done in a such short time. I love the Seamans Trunk, you have really done it justice. All in all a lovely little collection of great boxes.
Reality is no background music.

Well done. Like some of the others the seaman's chest gets my top vote.

Tall beer bottle on side neck over edge, with rag over body of bottle and neck oiled with cooking oil, peanut butter on the mouth of the bottle, bucket of water under the neck and mouth of the bottle. Mice get on rag and run to get the peanut butter, slip on neck and fall in bucket. We have two problems at the moment with this settup, Billy the Rotty loves peanut butter and steals it, and Joombie the Staffie, likes to eat mice and tips the bucket over occasionally.
