As a beginning wood worker and box maker, one of the things I struggle with is what to do with the finished product. If you are like me with relatively low skills but developing, you could say they are doing you a favour. For example I am just in the process of drying wood for five boxes for my son which will be for presents to his groomsmen. I might charge him for the wood - but that is cheap being hardwood fence palings. But his order gives me an excuse to make five boxes and not worry about what to do with them once complete.

Just a different take on this subject and in agreement with all the comments above about context matters...
