    Default Chest jewellery box

    I have been busy but not turning. Just finished two jewellery boxes for someone. The first was made from reclaimed mahogany someone was throwing out.
    Both finished with chestnut acrylic sander sealer and satin lacquer then lined with a sticky backed sheet of felt The second one is in Bandsawn boxes

    That's come up nice. What method did you use to shape the curve on the lid?

    I marked the ends with a curve then it was down to the good old hand plane to shape followed by sanding

    Thank you for the advise. This will push me to the making something like boxes with coopered lids.
