    Default Climate conundrum

Team, I was just wondering if anyone chose any time of the year that they didn't make boxes due to the drastic weather patterns and humidity changes etc? any particular days you avoid working (and not due to inside shed temp). is anyone lucky enough to have a climate controlled work space?

I'm having real problems at the moment as i have a few boxes made for orders and the lids are moving. Last night after the washing was hung in the laundry i put a box that was playing up the most on the bench and shut the door and this morning the lid was fitting perfectly, just like when i first cut it. I am now thinking of getting a humidifier and locking just made boxes in a room until i can finish them. I know these are first world problems but i hope the weather changes, although i doubt it.

Hi Fumbler/double.d, Have had the same problem with a piece of Spotted Gum which after being cut to size cupped quite badly due to the humidity here in Brisbane. I did turn it up the opposite way on the shelf and after about 3/4 weeks it returned to normal. And this week I decided to finish the box only to find it worse than before, very frustrating. It's now going to to have four rubber feet on it and will be repurposed as a cutting board. The weather wins again. Brian.
