Wow! Very, very cool. A lot of tricky joinery and detail in that box. Quite impressed here. May I ask; How many hours did you put into that?

compound mitre angle formular equations from the triton bevel manual are;-
Large Mo = true mitre angle to be cut.
Large Bo = True bevel angle, (bevel guide angle)
small mo = corner half angle
small bo = side angle to the horizontal.

Er,... I liked the shop classes in high school BECAUSE there was not much math involved.

Didn't count the hours but at a guess I'd say about 20 to25. More if you count the first lid which I completely stuffed up.

Sorry Zenwood,
I forgot to answer your question about fixing the posts to the case. When the proper mitre angle had been cut on the 4 sides of the case, I just rebatted the tip of each mitre by 5 mm. Then after the glue up, the edges of the posts were glued into the rebates.
