Default A couple of boxes - Walnut, Yaka, Sassy

Made a few boxes for gifts. Thought I'd give my brother a choice out of these two. He chose to keep both!

Timbers are walnut, sassy, and yaka. The sassy is bookmatched. The yaka is a single board. I've made three boxes using the yaka on the lid, all from the same board.

Hinges are the SmartHinge from Andrew Crawford.

    cheers,

    ajw

Nice work, I like the slight lift between the feet, it makes them look even lighter.

Thanks Alex. I agree with you. There's also a small chamfer on the feet, which adds to this effect.

    cheers,

Very nice indeed. Great choice of wood and the raised lid insert is a nice touch. How did you finish the box?
And my head I'd be a scratchin'
While my thoughts were busy hatchin'
If I only had a brain.

I used Livos oil, followed by Ubeaut wax.
