A couple of finished design experiments
The brick pattern box is Jarrah with Silver Ash stringing. The second box is Padauk with Silver Ash stringing

Interesting pieces; I know someone who I am sure would absolutely love the first, brickwork box... personally I prefer the second. It has a touch of old-world elegance that appeals.
Nicely done!

Another vote for the second one, but I do admire the precision woodwork in the first.
Both are very well made, and a credit to you and your skills.

Not keen on the first box, it is too harsh to the eye. The second box is very nice.

Nicely done. Always good to see someone trying something different.
And my head I'd be a scratchin'
While my thoughts were busy hatchin'
If I only had a brain.

I also like the 2nd one, but the first would be great for a bricklayer/builder

I've often wondered about combining that leg design with a gently curved edge on the bottom of each side panel....hmmmmm
Very nice work in both cases

I like the second one also but wouldn’t knock back the first one either.

I think I actually prefer the first one. It's a different approach and in my opinion looks more modern than the second, and also I do love Jarrah

Both boxes are amazing, but I do prefer the classical elegant look of the second one. I can see the craftsmanship is top notch, well done.
