Alex, a quick question if you don't mind - I set up my disc sander so that there's absolutely no play in the mitre guide, but still find that when trying to do this, the surface ends up very slightly rounded from one side to the other, instead of a dead flat cut.
I use a velcro-backed setup, and on inspection I found that the disc surface wasn't flat - the velcro has 'settled' in the more used areas. (The metal disc is definitely flat and true.)
Do you use a velcro-backed disc? Any other tips for doing this?
Thanks in advance.
(Sorry for the partial hijack, Joe.)
