Wardy, thats a ripper well done. I see that as a family heirloom. Blackbean is one of my favourite timbers. Just plain beautifull. How did you go with it? any reactions with your breathing and/or skin?

Default Wow! Beautiful finish. Lovely box.

    I like. I like.
“When we build, let us think that we build forever. Let it not be for present delight nor for present use alone. Let it be such work as our descendants will thank us for; and let us think...that a time is to come when those (heirlooms) will be held sacred because our hands have touched them, and that men will say, as they look upon the labor and wrought substance of them, ‘See! This our father did for us.’ “ --John Ruskin. Audels Carpenters and Builders Guide, 1923 Theo Audel & CO. New York.

Wardy, well done. Looks like it's built to last. Do you put a message on your stuff like built in .... by.... for.....?
I'm finding stamps, signatures and addresses on old furniture that I'm doing up. Sure makes it special when you find stuff like that.

Yep, nice work there Wardy, looks really slick. Blackbean does come up nice doesn't it?!, and it gets that sapwoody light colour coming through.

    Cheers,
