Fitting Quadrant Hinges
Hi all,
When fitting quadrant hinges, should I rebate the box body deep enough to allow the plate to be attached to the lid to just be screwed straight in? Or should I rebate the hinge into the lid as well?
TIA,
Rob

Hi Rob,
I did a quick search online to see if there was a preferable way - seems most advise to inlet equally in top and bottom unless the thinness of your lid creates a risk which means the bottom would need to be recessed for both.
I've never done these sort of hinges, so hopefully you will get advice from some members who have.

hinge it both lid and carcass! just make sure you know the exact thickness of your lid so dont make a new detail in the top! They always take longer then you think aswell. they take ages!
