Default How to fix up botched dovetail joints

Hi, I am in the process of making a silky oak box and have made a few unsightly mistakes which show up badly after the glue-up. some of them were caused by having the recessed base slightly too wide.

Every surface of the box had two Bessey clamps on it for an hour immediatley after the glue-up with Titebond II

Can anyone please advise on how best to hide these mistakes? The box still has the dovetails and pins projecting by about 0.5mm

All suggestions and idea are gratefully received.

End grain can be repaired quite well using wedges checkout this link:Fixing Dovetail Gaps (Repairing my Foolish Mistake) | Logan Cabinet Shoppe

I have seen smaller gaps closed by using the ball on a ball pein hammer to spread the fibres. The techniques called "bishoping the dovetails

EDIT: I just found this on Dereks Website: http://www.inthewoodshop.com/furnitu...ilsinWood.html
