I found that too Zen, especially on a hot breezy day - maybe it wouldn't be so bad if I was inside a shed, but...... I do remember the book saying to work quickly and boy, isn't that something I need to practise
Thanks TTIT! Yep, got lots of leather for box bases just wish I had the time to go with all that leather
cheers

Mitered corners...shezzz...I've always had problems doing those where they looked good. YOu did a great job and your work sure looks impressive.

Nice work. I especially like the creativity of the lid on the black box. If I may be so bold as to ask what the selling price was? I have a heck of a time pricing my boxes.

Thanks David
Gecko, box buddy I ended up selling it for $30, with the paint, ribbon, hinges and handles costing more than the pine and mdf I'm not too bad at soucing timber very cheaply, especially pine and mdf, but I've yet to find the best sources for everything else
The two maple boxes did go to my Hairdresser. He wasn't going to buy them, but he kept looking at them ....and looking at them, Got Him!!!
My pricing method has come down to: $materials x 3 and then increasing or lowering the price until I'm happy with the end figure. This doesn't account for time at all, but for the moment, it gets some boxes sold and frees up space so I can make more.
cheers
