Contents of a can is 365g and after taking the weight of the can in to account there's about 240g left, so about a third of a can used. I did 2 coats and got good coverage with no runs or peel. The turntable was a huge help as it allows spraying from a consistent distance and angle, I couldn't recommend it too highly. I bought 3 cans and from memory they worked out to about $26 a can delivered, so the finish for the box cost about $9. I'll be interested to see what the products cost from Lappa's source, though I can't imagine that it'll be too different.
I'll be sticking to oil finishes for most of my work, but when you come up against a difficult timber like the Surian spray lacquer is a relatively easy and cost effective solution.
