Thanks, artme. That was the first inlay that I made myself rather than buying off-the-shelf. A bit corny, but suits the purpose of the box.

I got some more felt yesterday, so can finally line this one today and finish it off.
A few people have shown interest in this, so I'll probably make more in the future. It was fun to make and quite a challenge compared to the first balsa glasses case.

I can finally get back onto shaping my elliptical Rosewood box tomorrow. I'd give my left you-know-what for some decent tools. I'll buy an Arbortech Mini Grinder as soon as the budget allows, (I'm on a pension and have to go easy), to speed the process. I have a lot of material to remove from the middle.

    Default Finit

I got the lining done today. This one is officially finished, except for a quick clean-up and wax tomorrow. There's a couple of tiny smears of contact adhesive on the felt, too, that I want to shave when it has fully dried.

I can get on with the elliptical box now, at last.

Thanks, Christos. Overall, I'm fairly pleased with it.

These glasses cases were a good exercise and taught me a fair bit, as a beginner, as did the Air Freshener Dispenser.
I'll make some more glasses cases in future, but for now I've learned all I can from making them and want to try things a bit more challenging like the elliptical box. I'm doing some test carving tonight that might become a border around the top and bottom of the box, if it works out OK.

I'm really getting to like this new hobby.
