Golden mean question
I am terrible at math...really bad. But, I manage to get by.
I have always made my boxes by 'eye'...no set rule of thumb re: size. However, I have a piece of beautiful figured timber that I would like to make into a box.
Given the size, what are the possibilities, given the Golden Mean rule? I am just curious if 'my eye' sees the same.
The piece is 32" long, 3" wide, 3/16 thick.. That translates to (and correct me if I am wrong) 864mm x 76mm x 7.9mm.

Not quite
812.8mm x 76.2mm x 4.76mm
1in = 25.4mmThose were the droids I was looking for.
