Default Need Help with Ideas on Hiding Wire in Teak Molding - Wire runs from Instruments

    Hello,

I built a teak box to house 2 instrument control/display units for a refrigerator that I'm installing inside a 35' boat. The box is mounted on a teak bulkead (boat wall). I need to run wires from the box to the side of the boat along the teak bulkead.

I found teak wire molding to hide the wire inside of but I haven't been able to figure out how to mount the wire molding to the teak in a clean way. Here is a link to the wire molding: Wire Molding - 5' - Teak - Teak Trim - Cabin & Interior - Downwind Marine

One thought is to form grooves along each inside edge of the molding and then attach metal clips to the bulkead. However, I've never seen clips that would expand to engage the slots to hold the molding in place.

I would appreciate any constructive comments or suggestions. I'm a generalist but not a specialized woodworker so I need some help to be able to finish this project right so it looks good.

    Thanks! Jim

Does the moulding need to be removable so as to access the wiring? If not then just glue the moulding to the bulkhead.
If it does need to be removable, can you easily access the other side of the bulkhead and use screws from there to attach the moulding.
