Holly w/ Bloodwood (#2)
This was my first box made from Holly and Bloodwood. Dimensions are approx. 4 x 3 x 2 1/2" I think. The one thing about this box was a mistake I made that turned out to be a blessing. I made two mistakes actually. The first was sanding the top panel after fitting it to the grooves/dados. This caused it to fit loose and rattle. The second was I forgot to put the dab of glue on each end of the panel which would have fixed the first mistake. What I did to fix these was to glue a bit of moulding inside the lid to put pressure up on the top panel so it wouldn't rattle yet still be able to float. Worked out good. The best part was that it actually looked good to IMHO. I will probably try this inside moulding again for the looks.

I don't mind it if a floating panel in a box like this 'rattles': it's a sign that it has been made properly. Perhaps a drop of cyanoacrylate glue ('superglue') inserted with a pin into the middle of each end's groove would have solved the problem. Your moulding has worked well here, though.
I like the rounded-over theme. Those are my principles, and if you don't like them . . . well, I have others.
