Humidor
Another box, long time ago...
Here's one of the first humidor's I made, trying out that new three way miter I got from a Woodsmith catalog (along with the box plan). I chose mahagony and birds eye maple and walnut edging. The finish is varnish, about 12 coats, sanding between all, then the pumice stone, car swirl remover, etc. Boy, I'll never do that again.

Man I love this place. I have been asked to make a humidor and here we have one. Looks good and that 3-way miter...wow. That looks like it is a complicated joint. You will have to explain the proccess to me sometime. Well done.

Thanks. I wanted a glass like finish using varnish. It took about that many to get all the imperfections out. But, like I said...this is one finish I won't do again, unless I build a dining room table.
