Ideas needed - Necklace storage
Ive wasted far too much energy on this and keep going around in circles. Does anyone have great necklace storage system for them that has necklaces?

How about a chest of really really thin drawers; each one holding a single necklace? I'm thinking of something similar to a toolmakers chest. Each drawer can be made from a single thin flat piece of MDF or timber with a ring routed around it to hold the chain and another to hold the pendant. You can always add other depressions to hold matching earrings too. Simple router joinery and a sprayed paint finish.
My partner and our daughter each have a hanging system; they look like small dressmakers dummies but with thick wires coming from out of the neck like branches; each one holds a necklace or two.

I guess it depends what sort of necklaces you are referring to.
SWMBO makes a lot of her own jewellery and them stuffed into various boxes but now she keeps most of then hanging on home made frames like these.
Scroll through to the end and you will see a larger one suitable for necklaces.
As well as being nice to look at she says that frames like these makes them much easier to see what she has.
Maybe not what you'd want to be using for exxy pearls or diamonds but similar wooden frames could form the basis of the internals of a jewellery box/cabinet.

Here are a couple of suggestions. In both cases, I laminated the hooks as I couldn't find any decent brass ones.

Thanks folks, there are some great ideas to consider and some stunning work. Much to aspire to. Thank you.
The necklaces in question were made by me and are various bits of timber, alt ivory, Ebony etc carved and strung on black thread. I went looking for some to photograph but I think they are packed in case we need to flee in front of a fire. Oh well, out of sight, out of mind )"We must never become callous.
