    Default Jarrah Box

Here is the sister to the Llama box I previously posted
    Recycled Jarrah floorboards
Tru-oil finish 12 coats and a wax top coat
Velvet lining, first time I have done that
A lot of hard work, learnt heaps and had fun doing it and that's what it's all about

Very nice box Warrick, well done. Nice work on your lining also. I met a bloke up at the Maleny Wood Expo who makes those small flip lid ring holder boxes. That's all he uses is that Tru Oil. His boxes sell in just about every woodwork shop in Australia, he does this full time.

Isn't it amazing how adding lining really elevates the finished box. Well done.

    Kind regards,

200mm x 200mm x 80mm. I love using recycled Jarrah, it's amazing what features you find. What was once considered not good enough for furniture but good enough for construction actually has some lovely grain. You do have to be careful with the old well dried timber as I have found it can chip easily but then that will become a feature as does the nail and screw holes.
