Jefferson's Tool wish list
G'day, I'm a total amateur and this is the first time so bare with me. I was doing a bit of back reading and read with interest the thread from Jefferson wanting info about tools to buy. Now I know nothing, and an article in number 59 of the Australian Wood magazine was so inspiring. Iain Green wrote and showed us how to make boxes with nothing but hand tools. So Jefferson try and get the mag; and you will see that the size and the power and noise and quality and quanity of power tools may not be what you really require. In the same mag there are photos from a box making comp. It's spooky what some blokes are doing it the shed. Sure got me in. I've register my interest in the next beginers wood working class at a local tools shop. Real high school stuff and using only hand tools. I guess I'm not a total amateur, but one does not turn up to work on NT cattle station and say they can ride a horse; because someone will find the horse that can't be riden. As for my forum name; I maybe sharp, but I'm often blunt, but never broken; and I have a sore bloody tooth!! I will have a lot of questions, Cheers
