Not another jewellery box
This box is made from quilted Queensland Maple veneer, purchased from River Gum Timbers in QLD about 3 months ago. Apprently it is very rare.

Nice work NF the quilted Maple looks almost 3D
as tho if you touched it, it would feel like waves.

Thanks everyone for the replies. As you turn the box the light reflects off the veneer which creates a sensation of waves rolling in.
RufflyRustic ,I love camphor laurel ,filled up the back of the 4x4 from a member of the Cooroy wood workers when we were up in QLD.
