Very nice. I like the carving in the last photo - any chance of a close-up please?

Do you know Bill Bunbury in Bunbury? I made a book box for him as a thank-you for a writing job he did.

Thank you for sharing. You seem to have a process for the boxes and well organized.

About the hinges and locks I use in my boxes. It took some time to find the good quality and nice looking parts. Currently I use this hinges and locks:
    gold lock size.jpg20151009092651.jpg
they are available on ebay in gold and silver color. Gold I use for colored timber like jarrah and sheoak, silver for marri and wandoo. Or like the customer requests.
    this are the links:

the hinge installation is a bit tricky but the final result is perfect
you have to cut the socket for the hinge and the
    slot for the plate.
    hinge instal sizes.jpg

I first start from the box.
use the hinge as a template to mark the contour.
cut the socket 1.7 mm deep
mark the slot position like on the picture
drill several holes 30mm deep and join them by a chisel or dremel to get a slot
do the same on the lid, the slot is 12 mm deep.

@AfricanSurgeon, those boxes on the "eBay sellers" site look mighty familiar

Did you do the hinge morticing with a CNC?

yes, the dovetails, hinge, lock, legs and bottom pockets, tray slides, the tray itself, mirror pocket and all carvings on the lids are done on cnc. I have designed boxes in the way to do as much as possible on cnc.

yes, I make boxes and sell them on ebay. Also I sell box parts hinges, screws, and locks and I didn't make any secret of this. Can not see any problem.

Hinges and locks are the best quality I was able to find so if you need some - welcome to buy. No one else sells them in Australia. Also, if you need cnc vectors for hinges and locks or have any questions about how my boxes are made - welcome to ask here

With the hinges and the vectors, would you consider making templates on your CNC we could buy with the hinge? (mdf, aluminium, etc) I love hinges, but these are very challenging to get right.
