Jewelry box
In between wood turning i dabble in box making for a change of scenery. It is something i enjoy doing and like wood turning it is the finished product that makes it all worthwhile.IMG_5503.jpgIMG_5507.jpgIMG_5508.jpgIMG_5509.jpg

Alex, Yes the main timber is silver ash, trim is brown oak, do not know what the top is as it was given to me and the arrows were made from scraps laying around the shed. I personally do not know a great deal about the species of timbers and pick timbers to work with which to me make a decent combination.

Magnificent! What type of hinge did you use?

MrFez, depends on who the manufacturer is, it is either a Butterfly, Case or Flush hinge.

That is a superb looking jewellry box. Out of interest what are the dimensions. The reason i ask is to me it is very well proportioned, it looks well balanced in it's sizing.
Well done.
