Keepsake Box - something special
Hello all,
Just completed a new box for a long ignored God Son. (I have never been a big fan of God Fathering!)
Some special Tassie Oak from TG Creations, Tiger Myrtle lid insert and Queen Ebony trim. 250mm x 200mm x 75mm. Ebony wooden hinges and pig skin lining.
Finished with Danish Oil.
Updated Images.
regardsBilly

Great looking Box. Love the Ebony framing of the insert.
A question - where do you get your pig skin?
I'd much rather line with that than felt.... Steve

Nicely done Billy. Lovely combination of timbers.
And my head I'd be a scratchin'
While my thoughts were busy hatchin'
If I only had a brain.

Hi Hermit,
Thanks for the feedback. I purchased the Pig Skin (split) from Mac-Lace Leather but I was a little disappointed it was thinner than the last time I purchased (a couple of years ago)

Nice work, Billy. Sort of art-deco design.
I get my pigskin splits from NSW Leather. Don't know if they service Brisbane, but I've found them helpful.

Very nice work, the whole box looks terrific. I always think wooden hinges are something special.. Love them.
Reality is no background music.
Cheers John

I like the box. You have added bits here and there and they are pleasing to the eye.
