    The large taper was just to illustrate the effect, a gentler one is definitely preferable

    Seems like a lot of effort to hide the sides of the card. and you'd obviously have to do the prep before glue up.

    i cant say that i'll be jumping in to try it out but would be interested to se the results.

    Not wrong. Its given me a bit of an idea though. Im overdue for a few more boxes and its getting on my goat! I love making them for some reason.... I thought to make some smaller ones and I'll make them with a rebate where to fit the card... it might look a bit fancy (or just stupid!)......

    Not exactly the same, but here's some drawers that I routed out on the CNC to a depth of 1mm to protect the flocking edge. Took half the day to mask them, but I reckon it was worth the effort. The post-delivery pics are a bit poor, but I couldn't really get a whole bunch of shots with the client standing there...
