Merry Christmas to Me....Merry Christmas to Me-Part 1
I finally got a chance to try my new Gifkins Jig today. It went very well. I do have to add a couple of spacers because the joints were way too tight. Of course being in a hurry I forced them together with a hammer so it tore some of the edge grain but I got them together. Still not too bad for a first try.
Watching the video that Gumby made certainly helped in making this easy. Another attaboy for Gumby. The whole process is so simple. Can't wait till tomorrow to get more practice board and get the adjustments just right. I figure by Wednesday when I have to go back to work I should be able to have several thousand boxes made.
Here are some pics my wife took. Enjoy.

For someone who is excited about his new toy, you sure don't look to happy in those photos
Cheers

You sound just like my wife. She always accuses me of not smiling when she takes my picture....trust me I was happy. I just don't smile good. haha

Lucky fella, very nice present, but have to echo the above comment, if that's you happy, I'd hate to see you sad

well good for you! And you've already churned out a box.
Congrats.I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

Nice first effort oh happy one
If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

Did you also get the new dust resistant nostril filters the latest high impact safety readers?
Seriously though that's a great xmas gift off the misses.
Not many blokes have a girl that would be bothered organising such a blokey gift.
Well done and look forward to seeing some finished boxesray c
dunno what's more fun, buyin' the tools or usin' em'

Love the expression in the first three pix. "Hurry up woman, and stop effing about with the camera so I can unwrap it!"
I'll bet there was a humongous grin hidden in the first two pix of the next post...
