    Default missed box entry

    Hello the house!
Missed the deadline but here it is anyway.
I'll post this now and then look at the entries after. That way I wont be too intimidated to post! Best of luck to everyone. Its going to be a belter of a competition I can feel it in my bones.

The box is primarily scottish oak, several different boards, with inserts of yew, canadian reclaimed maple (from school floorboards), reclaimed mahogany (from builders pallets!!!)

The stay is my design, works fine, but I spent ages trying to find a decorative head for the brass screw, not very successfully at this scale. (6x3/8th)

    Feedback would be great.
I'll offski to see the entries.
    Maxine

Very nice Maxine. I think a lot of the entries in the competition are breathing a small sigh of relief Don't forget for next year, we are 10 hours ahead
Those were the droids I was looking for.

    Thank you gentlemen.
Yes, I was having a Craft moment (can't remember a f* thing) rather than the usual menopausal moment. Entirely forgot to account for the time difference. However, no harm done, and with the standard of entries so high, it makes no difference to have this one on the forum. Well done to all those that have a brain and a sense of timing to go with it. Both of mine have slipped into what sometimes seems a terminal decline.

Love the box Maxine and in particular how you designed the stay. It works for me.

That's a lovely box, Maxine. Very light looking, nice compartments and the stay is a very nice idea.

Loverly Maxine. And I like the proportions.

    Cheers
