    Default For Mum's birthday

    G'day, when your Mother knocks up her 81st b/day, it hard to find something special; so I made something. Compaired to the boxes I have seen you lot make it is very plain, but this is my first "real" box. It's made from red ceddar and the lid; believe it or not; a bit of hardwood from Bunnings; and I have about 3mts of it [185x19mm]!! I could have made the box larger but then I could not afford to fill it with the goodies. They are hand made by Elizabeth Barrett in Broken Hill. I added that bit hoping I might score a freebe or two. Cheers

    ye great work sawtooth, what was the hardwood ? looks like "messmate"
    you have enough left to make another box, take a deep breath and french polish
    the next one, aussie timber comes up great.
