New here
Hi Everyone
I recently joined and I thought that I would show you some of my work. I have only been into woodwork seriously for a couple of years and am mostly self taught. Most of what I have done so far is boxmaking, so I guess this is the place to post. I have included some marquetry in my last couple of projects, but I have to say I am a rank beginner in that department. The three compartment jewelery box is silky oak and Tasmanian Blackwood. The other two are Blackwood trimmed with redgum and New Guinea Rosewood trimed with Walnut. The doodads box is Silky Oak with a plywood marquetry top.
Comments welcome.

I love the three compartment jewelry box. Nice design.
When all is said and done, there is usually a whole lot more said than done.

Looks great, the first and second boxes look like they took a long time to make.

Fantastic!
Just love the gum leaves.
If this is self taught its time to pass on skills already! Will you do some work in progress shots for those of us who are aspiring? Welcome and more please!
