Octagonal Box
After a crappy year overcoming cancer, I finally got back to making a box for number 2 daughter. Finished just in time for Christmas
Box and tray sides done with a shooting board with donkey's ear, and trim work with a second shooting board. Marquetry knife cut. 95mm a side, and 140mm high.Last edited by chrisb691; 18th December 2011 at 02:22 PM. Reason: spelling

That's a very beautiful and unique piece. The colours kind of remind me of South American type folk art.
More importantly, congratulations on the good news Chris!
Best Wishes,
