First Octagonal box
I wanted to try an octagonal box.
Photos of the prototype.
Critique and comments appreciated. Form and proportions????
Not sure whether to do a lid finial or just a feature bit.
Happy with the process. Made with scrap/crap pine and ply.
Thanks in advance

Looking good, Lyle!
A bit difficult for me to tell from that first pic - is the lid flat or angled up to the centre?

Nah, just aflat lid. Compound cuts a bit out of my league.
Looking through my stash of wood trying to find the right pieces.

Thanks Alexs. A finial it'll be.
I'll post photos of the real wip.
May be a little while yet. Got a couple of other jobs on the go first.
