Repairs I think went well, and the third coat of interior varnish was applied yesterday,(thats why no posts for a time).
Alex thanks for your tip using a knife line, ( have used a bit of 600 grit to take off the feather in the past).
I have to sand each strip length seperately for my boxes
The patch repair is the poorest effort but it works, there was an offcut laying on the bench at the time and it was the correct length with help of the hammer, I go the easy way these days.
So two sets of pics, outside so you can see the extent of repairs, and an internal close up shot showing the shine.woody U.K.
