These look MUCH better than the McJings site photos!
These look excellent.
Edit - to confirm, the ones photographed on the box are the "old" straps, not the "new" ones that are currently stocked?

This is what the Highpoint ones look like - they are practically identical to the old McJing ones which stop at 90 degrees.

Yep - the old ones that McJing ran out of - he did say he was trying to get more of them but came up with the new rolled ones quicker.
I just checked the tracking on mine - arrived in New York 30th Sep' - departed Hong Kong October 1st and hasn't been seen since

Finally got em' - not bad value!
The strap hinges I ordered from the US via Amazon finally arrived (only took 2 months) and I'm pretty happy with them. The finish isn't as good as I would like but I can't complain for the price - $8.25US/pair! Got enough to keep me out of mischief for a while but unless something better comes up in Oz, I will be ordering more in future. Link to their website

Also got my order of the new 'stiff' hinges from McJing - very disappointing They are stiff to open to just before 180degrees and then they go loose again - not what you want as a heavy lid is approaching the end of it's movement . Very poor finish on them too with visible gobs of varnish - anyone want to buy 3 pairs???

Those strap hinges look pretty decent. They don't seem as polished as the Highpoints but they're also less than half the price so well worth it by the looks of it. I have to order myself a few and give them a try.
That really is disappointing - I was hoping it wouldn't be the case but that style of hinge knuckle was never going to be brilliant. Thanks for sharing and showing us the pictures!

What was the shipping like from Woodworking Parts for the hinges. Did you get them only, or package them with other items?

Very interesting, as I commented before I bought 5 pairs of the newer McJing hinge. Just today I started preparing some timber for one of my larger boxes specifically to test out the new hinge. Sides will be 13mm thick. I'll give my report on completion of this box. I'm still ploughing through those 22 ring boxes I mentioned, so dont hold your breath.
