Glueing Trim
G'day All,
Just ready to start glueing the velvet trim with backing board in a box, as this is my 1st attempt, just wondering what's the best glue to use? Need something that spreads easily with no lumps or bumps.
Your advice will be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Jack

Contact cement comes to mind or PVA wood glue would do the trick. Someone who has made a box in this way will probably have some other ideas.
Reality is no background music.

I use PVA spread with a toothed spreader, such as a bit of old tenon saw.
cheers

Hi Jack, buy a can of good quality spray adhesive, 3M brand is great.

G'day FRB,
Will the spray adhesive give me enough time to line up the trim on all the inner faces?
I imagine that because its a spray that all 4 faces will have to be sprayed first and then line up the trim
On the other hand the PVA enables me to work on one face at a time, is this correct?
Thanks
Jack
